Meruge White 2018 gets 93 points from James Suckling

Meruge White 2018 received 93 points and was featured in a list of eleven exciting Portuguese whites for sale in the USA under $40 by the renowned American wine critic James Suckling.

In the article published on the critic’s website, available HERE, this wine from the Douro producer Lavradores de Feitoria is described as a “lovely wine, very rich and complex, with a noticeable presence of lemon, honey, some dehydrated mango and a touch of cream and praline. It’s full-bodied, has an enveloping and creamy texture and a very tasty aftertaste».

In the opinion of James Suckling, it’s a white wine ready to drink, but which promises to evolve in a bottle, recommending keeping some bottles to “test” over the years.

Meruge White 2018 is a monovarietal Viosinho wine, from vines over 50 years old, fermented and aged in Portuguese oak barrels. It can be purchased on our website HERE.

Três Bagos Grande Escolha Red featured on The Wine Show

The wine Três Bagos Grande Escolha Red, of Lavradores de Feitoria, was one of the protagonists of the third season of The Wine Show, the famous tv show hosted by wine experts Joe Fattorini and Amelia Singer, and with the participation of four actors and wine enthusiasts: Matthew Goode, James Purefoy, Matthew Rhys and Dominic West.

It premiered last Saturday, at 24 Kitchen Portugal, and Lavradores de Feitoria was represented by its CEO, Olga Martins. An experience that became even more breathtaking when Joe Fattorini chose the wine that represents the future of the Douro Valley. Out of three Douro wines, Três Bagos Grande Escolha Red was the chosen to integrate the box that will represent the best of this season in wines.
