The largest private plantation of Albariño

What was conceived at the beginning of the 20th century as the first “Quinta Modelo”, of an agro-livestock character, idealised by an Indian returned from Argentina, is today the largest private plantation in Albariño.

The complex, covering an area of 33 hectares, consists of the Pazo de Baión, an English-style building with connotations of a French Château, the three-storey winery and a rectangular complex which houses the “horreo”, the stables, the riding arena and the Caretaker’s house, all of which form a “monastic” enclave which completes the existing facilities, situated in the Salnés valley.
