The rebirth of a historic brand

George Blackett, originally from the city of Leeds, settled in the city of Oporto in the 19th century as a Port Wine merchant. His position within the sector enabled him to make remarkable progress and feature in the “top five” of the greatest merchants of that century.

At the beginning of the 20th century, his sons extended Blackett’s activity to maritime transport until it was integrated into a large company after the end of the Second World War, more precisely in 1949.

The relaunch of this name by Alchemy Wines aims to mark the power of time and a wine that survives and grows over successive generations.
