Verdeal, Cordovil and Cobrançosa are the varieties that give rise to Quinta do Vale Meão Olive Oil. An organic olive oil made in the olive grove dated 1887, owned by Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, a Douro entrepreneur who was a major driving force of branded Port wines. The Estate’s remarkable micro-climate makes the use of any chemical product unnecessary, allowing an olive oil certified as organic. Intense in color, it has a herbaceous and fruity aroma and is slightly spicy. Goes particularly well with salads or as a condiment for fish and vegetable dishes.
